We are debating whether or not to ratify the Constitution of the United States.

 

  • You must have have 4 key arguments or points prepared, and each argument or point must be backed up with evidence. 

  • Here is an example an argument:

    • Americans are deeply concerned about ratifying a government that could potentially tax them a very high levels. The idea of taxation without representation is tyranny, reducing the colonists to the status of slaves- Philadelphian John Andrews wrote to his brother in 1774 that "I sincerely believe they [the British Parliament] intend to carry out their threats, which are to make the town a desolate wilderness and the grass to grow in our streets."
