The collapse of the U.S. banking system and stock market precipitated a massive Depression with worldwide consequences.  The actions and reactions of the federal government did much to shape our nation's modern economy and government.

The specific focus of this unit will be on:

E. The New Deal coalition and its critics from the Right and the Left
